2010 Lotus Elise

Like almost all manufacturers, Lotus yields to pressure governments expressly inviting the car industry to reduce CO2 emissions. The small manufacturer claims and levels of consumption and CO2 emissions reduction in the range Elise 2010.

The Elise S, powered by a 1.8-liter engine delivers 136 horsepower, and goes to 7.6 l/100 km and 179 g / km of CO2 against 8.3 litres/100km and 196 g / km of CO2 above. The Elise R, 192 horsepower, reduced levels of consumption and CO2 emissions to 8.2 l/100 km and 196 g / km of CO2 against 8.8 l/100 km and 208 g / km of CO2. Finally, the Elise SC, 220 horses, now boasts 8.5 l/100 km and 199 k / km of CO2 against 9.1 l/100 km and 216 g / km of CO2. The full range and passes under the 200 g / km of CO2 and dump with more than 750 euros penalty.
This improvement, however, reduced some performance. The Elise R asks in effect to shoot 5.4 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h against 5.2 seconds earlier. Apart from a longer transmission, Lotus does not provide additional guidance on the methods used in these lower levels of consumption and emissions.
